MICROSOFT 365 TENANT-TO-TENANT MIGRATION COMPARISON
Apps4.Pro vs Bit Titan MigrationWiz: Microsoft 365
Migration Depth, Workload Coverage and Licensing
Apps4.Pro and BitTitan MigrationWiz both support Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations for Exchange Online, OneDrive,
SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. Apps4.Pro focuses on Microsoft 365 workloads, including complete SharePoint sites,
Teams private chats as live messages, Power BI, Power Automate, Planner Premium, Viva Engage, Forms, and
Bookings under a single per-installation license.
MigrationWiz supports a broader range of migration scenarios, including Exchange Server, Gmail, Google Drive, Shared Drives, IMAP, Zimbra, file servers, Microsoft 365-to-Google Workspace migrations, and separate solutions for Active Directory, Entra ID, password sync, Windows devices, Outlook profiles, and coexistence. MigrationWiz uses SaaS-based licensing based on the workload being migrated.

Last verified 24 September 2026 against the BitTitan Help Center, the MigrationWiz pricing page and Apps4.Pro product documentation. Both products change often; confirm current capabilities with each vendor before you buy.
BitTitan MigrationWiz is a cloud-hosted (SaaS) migration service from BitTitan, Inc., an Idera company, that moves mailboxes, documents, Teams, public folders and archives from Microsoft 365, Exchange Server, Google Workspace, IMAP and file servers. It is licensed per user, per team, per SharePoint document library and per 10 GB of public-folder data.
Apps4.Pro Migration Manager, from JiJi Technologies Private Limited, is an installed Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration tool licensed per machine. MigrationWiz covers more source platforms and, through PowerSyncPro, identities and devices. Apps4.Pro migrates complete SharePoint sites and more Microsoft 365 workloads, including Planner Premium, Viva Engage, Microsoft Forms, Bookings, Power BI and Power Automate.
Migration Depth by Workload: Apps4.Pro and
BitTitan MigrationWiz
Both tools migrate the core Microsoft 365 workloads, but they differ in how much of each
workload is recreated as live, usable content in the destination tenant. The tables below
compare Apps4.Pro and MigrationWiz feature by feature for each workload, using
BitTitan’s own documentation for every MigrationWiz entry.

SharePoint Online
Apps4.Pro migrates complete SharePoint sites, including subsites, lists, pages, term groups, library settings and permissions, so each site arrives in the destination ready to use. MigrationWiz works at the document library level: BitTitan’s SharePoint-to-SharePoint migration guide covers libraries only, and each library needs its own Shared Document license. Pages, lists and site-level permissions are not moved, so plan time to rebuild them after a library-only migration.

OneDrive for Business
Both tools migrate OneDrive files, folders, permissions and metadata for each user. The main difference is version depth: Apps4.Pro carries more version history per file, while MigrationWiz migrates 3 versions by default and 25 at most, according to BitTitan’s versions and metadata guide. BitTitan’s SharePoint and OneDrive FAQs also note that sharing links are not migrated, so users need to re-share files after cutover.

Microsoft Teams channels
Both tools migrate teams, standard and private channels, members and owners. The difference is how conversation history arrives: Apps4.Pro recreates the complete supported history as channel messages, while MigrationWiz posts the 60 most recent threads per team as live posts and places older threads in an HTML Conversation History tab, as described in BitTitan’s Microsoft Teams migration FAQs. MigrationWiz also skips shared channels and needs one Teams Collaboration license per team.

Teams private chats
Both tools migrate 1:1, group and meeting chats. Apps4.Pro migrates the full chat history, or history from any start date you choose, as live Teams messages. MigrationWiz migrates the last 30 days of each chat as live messages and delivers the full history as an HTML file in the service account’s OneDrive, according to BitTitan’s Teams Private Chat Migration Guide. The same guide states that files shared in chats are not migrated, and that private chat migration is available for commercial tenants only.

Teams for Education
Apps4.Pro migrates all three Teams for Education templates: Class, Professional Learning Community (PLC) and Staff teams. MigrationWiz supports Class teams, including Class Notebook. For PLC and Staff teams, BitTitan’s Microsoft Teams migration FAQs state that notebooks are not migrated and that the team must be created in the destination first.
Apps4.Pro covers all three education templates; MigrationWiz covers the classroom template.

Exchange Online and public folders
Both tools migrate user, shared, group and archive mailboxes, including mail, calendars, contacts, tasks and server-side rules. The differences are data limits and public-folder licensing. Apps4.Pro has no license-based mailbox limit and includes public folders in every tier. According to BitTitan’s license guide, the standalone Mailbox license is capped at 50 GB and 10 passes, while the User Migration Bundle and Tenant Migration Bundle are unlimited. Public folders need a separate license, listed on the MigrationWiz pricing page at $114 per 10 GB.

How MigrationWiz Licensing Adds Up, and How Apps4.Pro’s Differs
MigrationWiz is priced per object. A tenant-to-tenant project usually needs one license per user, one per team, one per
SharePoint document library and one per 10 GB of public folders, and any team or library larger than 100 GB needs
one more license for each further 100 GB. Apps4.Pro is priced per machine installation, so the price depends on
how many machines you run in parallel, not on what is inside the tenant.

For this tenant, buying MigrationWiz licenses individually costs about $12,100, less than half the Tenant Migration Bundle, because the bundle’s 500 Flex licenses far exceed the 65 teams and libraries in scope. Apps4.Pro Growth covers the same scope for $8,995 on five machines, or $5,995 on Essentials if one machine gives enough throughput. BitTitan’s current new-customer offer (buy two User Migration Bundles, get one free, up to 100 free licenses) would lower the individual-license figure further.

For a project that moves only mail and OneDrive, MigrationWiz’s User Migration Bundle costs less than Apps4.Pro Essentials below about 340 users and less than Apps4.Pro Growth below about 515 users. Every team, library and 10 GB of public folders adds to the MigrationWiz total, so in most tenant-to-tenant projects the crossover comes earlier. The Tenant Migration Bundle costs less than Essentials only below about 105 users. The UMB column excludes Teams, SharePoint and public folders.
Exchange Migrations and the EWS Retirement:
A Planning Note for Both Tools
Microsoft begins a phased, admin-controllable block of Exchange Web Services (EWS) in Exchange Online on 1 October 2026 and retires it fully on 1 April 2027.
Apps4.Pro
●Apps4.Pro’s Temporal Exchange uses Microsoft Graph API and Export/Import API for Exchange migration.
● This approach avoids relying solely on EWS and provides supported migration methods for Exchange workloads based on the applicable migration scenario.
● Apps4.Pro also recommends completing archive mailbox, public folder, and Microsoft 365 Group mailbox migrations before the EWS retirement to avoid potential migration limitations as Microsoft moves away from EWS.
BitTitan
● BitTitan’s Exchange Online migration guides now require administrators to add MigrationWiz to the tenant’s EWSAllowedAppIDs list before any migration that uses EWS, and BitTitan says it will complete its move to Microsoft Graph before the final retirement date
● BitTitan has also advised that Microsoft does not plan full Graph support for some scenarios, including public folders, archive mailboxes and Microsoft 365 Group mailboxes, and recommends finishing those migrations early.
Whichever tool you choose, if your project includes Exchange Online mailboxes, public folders, archives, or Microsoft 365 Group mailboxes, confirm the vendor’s migration approach and timeline before you fix a cutover date.
Note: The live row (Apps4.Pro “Modern Authentication with MFA” vs BitTitan “Requires service account, EWS enabled and security exceptions”) should be replaced with this EWS retirement note. The new wording gives a more accurate comparison of how both tools are preparing for Microsoft’s EWS retirement and avoids presenting Apps4.Pro as EWS-only.
Running the Project: Deployment, Throughput,
Reporting and Support
Both tools discover what is in the source, run multi-pass migrations and report per item.
They differ in where the work runs and how throughput is controlled.

Where the Gaps Land: Second Tools and Manual Rebuilds
Whatever a migration tool leaves out still has to move. With MigrationWiz, the work that usually falls to a second tool or a manual rebuild is SharePoint lists, pages and site settings, Planner Premium, Viva Engage, Microsoft Forms, Bookings, Power BI and Power Automate. With Apps4.Pro, it is identities and devices, Outlook profile changes, mail coexistence during a phased cutover, and any source outside Microsoft 365, such as Gmail, IMAP or a file server.
Check your source inventory against the three lists in section 6. The tool with fewer items outside its scope normally means fewer licenses, fewer handoffs and less checking at cutover.
Every Missing Workload Adds Another Tool
When a migration platform doesn’t support part of your Microsoft 365
environment, the work doesn’t disappear-it simply moves somewhere else.

Which is the right fit for your project?5
Apps4.Pro and Bit Titan MigrationWiz both migrate Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams
between Microsoft 365 tenants. Which one fits better depends on what else is in scope, where your data
starts and how many users you are moving. Use the two lists below to see which tool matches your project.
Choose Apps4.Pro if…
One platform, one license, whole tenant
● Planner, Viva Engage, Forms, Power Automate, Power BI or Bookings are in scope.
● You’re migrating ~150+ users and want a bill that doesn’t scale with headcount.
● Migrating large Teams or high volumes of documents without worrying about data volume limits.
● You need a readiness report before you commit, and audit-ready proof afterwards.
● You’d rather run one console than several tools and vendors.
BitTitan may be the better fit if…
Genuine strengths
● Small migrations – under ~100 users, per-user licensing is genuinely cheaper.
● You need AD / Entra ID migration, including on-prem AD with SID history and password sync.
● Your source is Google Workspace, Exchange on-premises, IMAP, Zimbra or a file server (BitTitan sources).
● You want nothing to install – a stateless cloud broker with no VM to stand up.
● You need DeploymentPro to auto-reconfigure Outlook profiles across every laptop.
Both Apps4.Pro and BitTitan are trusted Microsoft 365 migration solutions.
The best choice depends on your migration scope, source environment, and project requirements.

By scenario
Most migrations start from a business event rather than a feature list.
The table below matches common migration scenarios to the tool that usually fits best, and explains why
|

Usually the better fit
|
Why
|
|---|---|---|
|
|
Usually the better fit
Depends on identity ownership. MigrationWiz if users, devices and Outlook profiles must move with the data; Apps4.Pro if identity is handled separately and the content scope is wide
|
Why
Identity and device migration is the dividing line. BitTitan covers it with its Active Directory license and PowerSyncPro; Apps4.Pro does not
|
Divestiture or carve-out
|
Usually the better fit
MigrationWiz, when users and devices move to the new company; Apps4.Pro when the split is mainly selected sites, teams and workloads
|
Why
Carved-out users usually need new identities, rejoined devices and reconfigured Outlook profiles, which BitTitan covers with PowerSyncPro and DeploymentPro

Will the EWS retirement affect my Exchange migration?
It depends on your migration tool and the Exchange workloads involved. Microsoft begins a phased block of Exchange Web Services (EWS) in Exchange Online on 1 October 2026, with full retirement scheduled for 1 April 2027.
BitTitan requires EWSAllowedAppIDs configuration for EWS-based migrations and plans to transition to Microsoft Graph before retirement. Apps4.Pro’s Temporal Exchange uses Microsoft Graph API and Export/Import API for Exchange migration, avoiding sole reliance on EWS.
If your migration includes archive mailboxes, public folders, or Microsoft 365 Group mailboxes, plan to complete these workloads before EWS retirement where applicable. Confirm your vendor’s supported migration methods and timeline before scheduling your cutover.
