Avvenire Solutions is a U.S. based company and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner located in Brecksville, Ohio. Avvenire provides Business Productivity solutions to middle market, Fortune 500 companies, government, finance, manufacturing, educational, and many other institutions.

To better serve the demands of some of its clients, Doug Punchak, the Application Development Manager at Avvenire, was looking for a Teams migration tool that could migrate not just the Team, the channels, and files, but also private channels, OneNote tabs, and Microsoft Planner tabs as well. He found our Apps4.Pro Migration Manager and started to use it on several migration projects.

Using Apps4.Pro Migration Manager, Avvenire has so far migrated over 100 Microsoft Team Sites, more than 200 channels, 30+ private channels, 90 1:1 personal chat, 30 Planner plans, and many OneNote pages. As new migration projects come in, they are planning to continue to use Apps4.Pro Migration Manager for those as well.

Avvenire was drawn to use Apps4.Pro Migration Manager because of its ability to migrate OneNote and Planner plans, including the other Teams components. Other tools they had previously used, or ones they investigated using, could not migrate these items. Because of this, there is no need for manual work to migrate OneNote and Planner Tabs and they feel it is a big time-saver for them.

They also noted the ease of use when working with Apps4.Pro Migration Manager. They specifically mentioned the auto-user mapping feature as being very useful. Being able to import a list of source\target users from a CSV file and have Migration Manager do the user mapping is very helpful. Avvenire also mentioned the delta migration as one of the more useful features. They initially seed the content and then plan a production cut-over for later. The delta migration avoids repeating migration steps and avoids the migration of content that has been already migrated. This also reduces the amount of time needed on the day of the production move.

Avvenire had been using another app for doing Teams migrations and found our Apps4.Pro Migration manager a more useful and feature-rich tool.
