PLI stands for PETRONAS Lubricants International which is a subsidiary of PETRONAS playing the role of the global lubricants manufacturing and marketing arm of PETRONAS.

PLI has chosen to merge their users with their parent concern PETRONAS. When they were looking for an efficient & reliable Migration Partner to handle the migration, they found Apps4.Pro appropriate. They have approached us to perform the migration of the following Microsoft 365 workloads.

Yammer migration
Apps4.Pro Migration Manager was leveraged to merge the PLI Yammer network with the existing PETRONAS Parent network.

Non-Native to Native mode: The Major challenge being – PLI Yammer network was on the non-native mode whereas PETRONAS was on native mode. Apps4.Pro Migration Manager seamlessly handled the hand-shake between both the modes and added all the source files to the SPO sites of the target Yammer communities.
We have migrated almost 10 years of data to the parent network. The community conversations migrated to the target includes entire thread, polls, questions, likes, best replies etc.

Stream migration
Apps4.Pro Migration Manager tirelessly migrated around 600 GB of Stream videos with several associated groups to the parent tenant PETRONAS.

Video Permissions: During the migration, the stream group memberships and the video permissions must be retained. In a typical Stream migration, migrating the user videos is the challenging process since the user videos are shared to other users and groups. Source memberships & permission must be retained with the migrated user videos as well, which was handled seamlessly using Apsp4.Pro Migration Manager.

Efficacy: By leveraging the tools capability to handle parallel migrations, 2666 stream videos have been migrated with a minimal effort.

Planner migration
The tool has smoothly migrated around 200 plans comprising of both plans associated with team & individual plans. As part of Planner migration, we have handled the below scenarios.

-Migrated as a new plan: The plan and its relevant Microsoft 365 Group to be created in the target

-Migrate to existing Group: The source plan was migrated to an existing Microsoft 365 group in the target

-Migrate to existing Team: The source plan was migrated & linked as a tab to an existing Microsoft Team

Group Membership: Group membership inconsistencies are the major nightmare during the migration activities. Apps4.Pro Migration Manager has showcased its capabilities to handle the group membership discrepancies elegantly & effectively between the source and existing target Microsoft 365 Groups.
