1. Is this app available for free trial ?

Yes, it is available for 14 days unconditional free trial. You can download the trial version from https://apps4.pro/planner-manager.aspx. The download file is same for both Trial and Purchased version. After installation it will run in trial version and when you purchase a license it will be automatically converted to purchased version.

2. Is there any limitations in trial version?

Yes, the only limitations is during Import only 50% of the tasks listed in Excel will be Imported to Planner. All other features in the app will work without any limitations for 14 days.

3. Can I try this app for my team ?

Yes, you can. By default after installation, the trial will be enabled for single user. You need to contact sales@jijitechnologies.com to add additional users to your trial. Once done, you can manage their trial licenses from 'Manage License' link in the app.

4. How can I purchase this app ?

5. How can I manage my subscription ?

You need to login to tasks.apps4.pro/mylicense.html with the email address you have used for purchase. From this portal you can perform the following.
  • View Trial and Purchased subscription details
  • Assign or Modify your team users
  • Change license manager from one user to another

6. What payment options do I have?

  • Credit Card (Processed by PayPal & license will be provisioned immediately after purchase).
  • Bank transfer (Payment against invoice. You need to contact sales@jijitechnologies.com with your company details)

7. Will my subscription gets renewed automatically every year ?

Currently we don't support automatic renewals. We will make it happen shortly.

8. What is the cancelation policy ?

Apps4.Pro encourages you to make use of free 14 days trial before you make a purchase. In any case within 7 days from date of purchase, if you are not completely satisfied Apps4.Pro will refund your purchase, no questions asked. We require your PayPal transaction confirmation and Office 365 email address that was used to manage the licenses. Please contact sales@jijitechnologies.com for help in this regard.

1. What operating systems does this add-in work on ?

  • It is Windows desktop app and will work on Windows 7 / 8 / 10 platforms.

1. The add-in asks me to sign in frequently. How can I avoid this ?

Apps4.Pro uses Office365 authentication and thus when your Office365 session gets timed out you need to sign in to the add-in again. You can avoid this frequency by selecting the check box 'Keep me signed in' in the sign in window.

2. I am getting error message 'You need to register license in order to use this service'.
    What does this mean ?

You will see this message when your license validity is lapsed. This may occur in 2 cases - when your free 14 days trial expired or the purchased license validity expired. You need to login to https://tasks.apps4.pro/mylicense.html to check the status of your license.

1. Can I create a Plan template in Excel with all Plan and Task details and use it as Plan Template?

Yes, Possible. During Excel import the Planner Manager will create new Plan and create Buckets and Tasks and add users to Plan and assign tasks for them. You can import following fields from Excel.

  • Plan Name
  • Task title
  • Bucket
  • Progress
  • Assigned To
  • Start date
  • Due date
  • Categories
  • Checklist
  • Description
  • Attachment
  • Task ID

2. Can I update the tasks using Excel Import?

Yes, possible. The update function works based on the Task ID. When a task ID is mentioned in excel, the particular task gets updated in Planner. If Task ID is not available, Planner Manager will treat that as new task and it will create another task in Planner. It is recommended to add the 'Task ID' column from 'Add / Remove columns' and then export it to Excel, update the details and Import back.

1. How to create Custom Fields for Planner tasks?

Sign in to Planner Manager and click on Settings > Custom field Settings. Now select the Plan name from the dropdown to which you need to add custom fields and click on 'Add new field' button. The following field types are supported.

  • Single / Multi line (Ex: Notes for approver)
  • Date (Ex: Project deadline)
  • Number (Ex: Hours spent for this task)
  • User (Ex: Responsible person for this task)
  • Options (Ex: Priority - High, Medium, Low)

3. From where can I view the custom fields I have created?

You can view this from Apps4.Pro Outlook desktop, Outlook web and from planner Manager. It is available during Creation of new task, Edit task and in reports generated from Planner Manager.

4. Can the custom fields create from Planner Manager app can be viewed by users who does not have license for Apps4.Pro ?

Yes, the custom field details are stored in Planner Task description. So users can view this detail by login in to Microsoft Planner web portal.

1. How this tool handle user authentication with Office 365 ?

This tool uses the standard Microsoft Authentication library (ADAL) to authenticate users with Office 365.

2. How this tool securing communication with Microsoft Planner?

We are collecting and updating all the information using Microsoft Graph Api through secure HTTPS channel.

3. What information will this app collect ?

This tool will collect following basic and planner data:
  • Logged-in user' e-mail Id.
  • All Office 365 Groups in which the logged-in user is member of.
  • All Plans associated with the groups.
  • Tasks, Buckets, and Users from the required plans (users can select and manage required plans alone).

4. What information will this app update in Microsoft Planner?

Using this tool you can update following Microsoft Planner data:
  • Create new plan with Office 365 Group.
  • Add members/Remove members in existing Plan
  • Create new buckets
  • Create new tasks
  • Upload files into O365 group.

5. Will my data be transmitted outside the Microsoft servers?

Absolutely NO. We have used Microsoft APIs to develop this add-in and hence no data will be passed outside of Microsoft servers. All your data are safe with Microsoft.

6. Will this tool store planner data in local machine ?

Yes, this tool store plans and tasks information in local sqlite database for reporting purpose.

7. Will this tool store planner data in any other external server ?

No, we will not store data in any other place apart from local database.

8. Will this tool use Windows Service?

Yes (optional), you can optionally install windows service to automate report backup in local machine and OneDrive.

9. Will this tool use other automation services like Scheduler, Batch script, etc...?

No, we don't use any other automation services.

10. Does this tool require any special permission to use?

No special permissions required.
