1. Can I create a Plan template in Excel with all Plan and Task details and use it as Plan Template?
Yes, Possible. During Excel import the Planner Manager will create new Plan and create Buckets and Tasks and add users to Plan and assign tasks for them. You can import following fields from Excel.
- Plan Name
- Task title
- Assigned To
- Start date
- Due date
- Task ID
2. Can I update the tasks using Excel Import?
Yes, possible. The update function works based on the Task ID. When a task ID is mentioned in excel, the particular task gets updated in Planner.
If Task ID is not available, Planner Manager will treat that as new task and it will create another task in Planner.
It is recommended to add the 'Task ID' column from 'Add / Remove columns' and then export it to Excel, update the details and Import back.
